nVidia GeForce 6800

I received my new PowerMac (see sig) yesterday and have a question concerning the two DVI connectors from the Geforce 6800. When I connect my display (through the VGA-DVI connector) to one of the DVI ports, everything works fine. But when I try to use the other port, the display doesn’t get a signal. Is the second port broken or is it only for dual displays?displays?

Perhaps I should clarify a little. I just want to know if a graphics card (not necessarily a 6800) with two DVI ports should support the display at both ports.

It sounds to me like the second connector is broken. It should support a display on both ports. (It is, however, possible that the second port only works if there is also a display plugged into the first)
