nvidia geforce 9400m 256 mb

I have mid 2009 Mbp 2.2ghz , 2gb ram and nvidia geforce 9400m 256 mb, wondering since I ordered upgrade to 8gb of ram is this going to help much towards the graphics portion. Example is I can play d3 on low setting with mild chopping and some people say they can't play at all with this gpu so will the upgrade in ram help the gameplay at all?

It most likely won't since the 9400M is restricted to 256MB of ram even at 8GB of system ram.
