Is the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 a good video card for Pro use... Desktop Publishing (Quark 8 + Adobe Creative Suite), Web Design, iMovie Vid production...??

None of those things you listed really utilize the graphics card. You'd likely be fine with one of the basic cards (7300GT, 2600XT, GT120). The Radeon 3870 and 4870 and the Nvidia 8800GT and GTX 285 are more powerful than the Quadro FX 4500 if you did need GPU performance.
