I recently purchased this Satechi NVMe hub for my Mac Mini M2 Pro:

I predominantly use this for music production (running Logic Pro X).

Does anyone have a similar set-up or have a recommendation for which brand/type of expandable NVMe m.2 SSD would best compliment this? I went down a bit of a rabbit hole last night researching options and brands and I now feel even more confused.

I was Initially planning on purchasing a 1TB drive however I'm now thinking I should get a 2TB one.

Thanks in advance

I have the same Satechi hub and I personally use a Western Digital Black SN770 2TB NVMe in mine. Did some research on a bunch of NVMe drives to upgrade my 2014 Mac mini to and I decided to run a 1TB WD Blue SN570 in that and the above 2TB Black with my hub for backups. After doing a ton of research on speeds vs compatibility, I settled with and very happy with these WD drives for the price.

I also took the same one, but it gets very hot during work. How about you? And how does he deal with it? I ordered a passive cooler but will it do anything...
