NWS: Getting the **** kicked out of me for a girl?

Last night we were walking down the road and some guys (neds) were pushing this girl about (who I sort of know but not properly), anyway, they punched her so me and a friend smacked a few of them then got jumped by around 8 neds...

Needless to say, I look like ****.

I got pwnt but it was defending a girl and they were ned scum so I feel like I have the moral high ground or something...
 
How many of them were you, and how many of them did you fight? Morons always seem to travel in large packs, don't they. :rolleyes:

Anyway, I'm not going to say that fighting is good or fighting is the answer, but in this case I think you did the right thing.
 
Wow man, that sucks. Sorry you were jumped, but it sounds like you definitely have the high ground defending someone else. Who punches a girl anyway? (I used to joke "equal rights, equal punches," but that was with my sister and she deserved it.) Anyway, I'm afraid I'm getting old. Who or what is a ned?

By the way, you might want to have a doc look at the hematoma. It looks pretty bad and could lead to complications.
 
Ned = Scottish version of "chavs".

Search the forum for one of the many threads on chav scum. ;)
 
you did the right thing. good on you.

and to the other poster, i punched a girl before...right in the nose. happened in grade 6 i think? her and 2 of her friends cornered me..made fun of me and then she booted me in the balls. they laughed, i got up,...ba-boom! down she went.

no one talked to me for 2 days. the guys threatened me until i told them exactly what happened. the principal started to threaten a suspension until i told him what happened. then she was brought in.

later in high school, we dated for a summer (no fisticuffs were involved :)

The secret is to go straight for the biggest. Make the others think that you're either as hard as Chuck Norris or one crazy melon farmer! Whichever it is the others will be a little more reluctant to fight back.

Also, when faced with someone who is holding a weapon, it's OK to run away. It isn't cowardice, it's called being smart!

I floored one of them who got carried away by his pals after (he was the big bastard) and threw one into a huge granite wall, his pal then grabbed me and threw me over a car bonnet...



And the police were on our side so it's all good.
 
I would do the exact same thing if I saw a man hit a woman, whether or not I knew her.
 
Well, think of what could have happened to the girl if you didn't intervene. You did the right thing.

Maybe they set a trap and were looking for a fight. I've seen that happen before. :rolleyes:

You and your friend must be good fighters (or the neds were right wee ******* :p ) With 8 guys, it could have turned out much worse. You still got a thrashing mind. :eek:
 
fighting is bad you got hurt and they got hurt and everyone got hurt..but iguess its ok... i hope you feel better..but peace is always the best answer...easier said than done i know:(
