In NYC on vacation. Any chance any of the stores have iPhone in stock?

Figured the "big city" might have mass stock?

Nope. Manhattan Apple stores have a 2-3 week wait time for reservations and none for walk-ins. (I've tried a few times)

I reserved at an Apple store further out in Long Island, I was told the wait time there was only about a week.

FYI, I was told at the Manhasset store that yesterday (Sunday) was the last day they were doing the reservation program. Not sure if that's really the case.

Interesting, so maybe they are finally catching up to reservations and will soon have them more readily available for walk-ins. I reserved on Saturday at Roosevelt Field.

Bigger City = A much bigger population. So any extra stock that may or may not be there is surely eaten up. It all balances out.

my friend was on the priority list at Apple Store SoHo since July 6th and picked his up yesterday and he said he heard that there was a lot of 16GBs for walk-ins. I got my iP4 from SoHo on launch, so to me they are reliable for stock

You may want to check the Apple Store in the Westchester Mall. I was told they had some but I can't upgrade because I already ordered from AT&T.

Call first

Funny, every time I call those douche bags at SoHo tell me they don't have any in stock. I don't believe them but I'm also not going to make an hour-long trip into the city just to find out they weren't lying.

Thanks yall! Walking right by soho store so will stop in and let you know. Worth a try at least.

i bought a 16GB at the UWS store yesterday

walked in and was out in 15 minutes or so

reading about people being high tech and ordering online and still waiting. low tech feet and NYC subway won

More like blind luck. Blind luck always wins.

i called before and they said they had a bunch of 16GB ones. AT&T stores didn't have any. neither did the one ghetto best buy i visited.

apple stores open at 9am so the UWS store was the first i called

Anyone finding and/or getting the 32GB? I work in Tribeca so I'm within striking distance of both the SoHo and the 14th Street store so I may make a run if my hope runs high enough.

my friend walked into radio shack and just got one..i think it's because people don't go there that much for the iphone and also the employees care less about the reserved people and will just sell u one of the reserves (which is what happened).

No luck yesterday

I tried 14th St yesterday - they were all gone. Reccomended calling Soho, as they knew they had some earlier in the day. Calls to Soho, UWS, and 59th street to find out that 59th was the only one with any left in stock (32 to be exact) and there was already a line for those. I haven't checked yet today to see if any of the stores have restocked.
