NYC Iphone 4s Sprint Vs Verizon

Im thinking to get an iPhone 4s in the immediate future. I am leaning towards Verizon but i know that Sprint is cheaper per month. Those that have experience with both Verizon and Sprint in NYC with iPhone 4s can you please talk about your network coverage.
