Nylon Pry Tool - Mac Mini 2009 Upgrade

In OWC's memory and hard drive upgrade videos on the Mac Mini, they mention that you need a Nylon Pry Tool to detach the ribbon cable and other parts. Is the Nylon Pry Tool necessary or can you just use your fingers?

Some type of nylon tool is needed in my opinion unless you have long finger nails. I just used a .99 plastic putty knife. It was a little big for the job but all I needed was the corner of it.

a pair of jewelers needlenose and some patience will do it fine

i used my fingernails and/or a flat screwdriver from the miniature screwdriver kit i have. worked fine.

I used my thumb. You don't need anything more than a pocket knife and a screwdriver for all Mac Mini modifications.

that cable pulled off fairly easy, you don't need any tools for that part.
