NZXT Avatar Mouse; not working with either Steermouse or USB Overdrive

I received a gift from a friend and it happened to be the NZXT Avatar gaming mouse, I was pretty ecstatic to use the mouse because it was so comfortable, but neither steermouse or USB overdrive seem to enable the mouse to run on OS X.

Is there anything I can do to make this USB mouse actually work on a mac or is it only destined to work on a PC?
