Apologies if already posted

Speaking after the announcement of O2's first-quarter results, the chairman and chief executive of Telefónica Europe Matthew Key said his company will be making an announcement with Apple in "the coming weeks".

Asked exactly when the 3G phone will be available he said: "That's more of a question for Apple ... but over the coming weeks we will do a joint announcement with Apple as Telefónica Group".

I've resigned myself to believing we won't see the 3g iPhone announced/released before WWDC.

Was in the Guidford O2 store last night and heard the shop manager saying a 32gb iPhone would be available from June in store.

does anyone know the duration of the Apple-O2 deal?

If other countries are getting the iPhone with a choice of carriers and the UK isn't, it must be because Apple and O2 are still under contract.

If you read the article you'd see it said multi-year exclusive, and they aren't giving much more away than that.
