O2 Data connection stops working when on call

Would like to know if anyone else has has this problem, recently I have noticed that when i take a call or make a call the 3G, GPRS etc symbol disappears and i'm unable to check emails, use internet go on facebook etc when on the call, I get a data connection error saying I cant do it whilst on the call. Im pretty sure this never used to be the case! Im on O2 in the UK
