I got this text from o2 on my iphone yesterday, and it totally caught me by surprise. I checked my usage for last month and it says that i only used at around 1500 (i am a heavy texter).

Just wondering if anyone else got an outrageous text like this..

Wow you are busy thats like 5 texts a min every day of the month with no sleep.
 
yeh its definately wrong. O2 sent me a text this morning saying that I used 16720 in a month!
 
Yep, I got one, although nowhere near as outrageous as yours. I sent ~400-500 texts last month, and received this:

I sometimes send 5000 texts a month o_O I write huge texts and so for every "text" i send its like 5-10 texts in one :eek: Lucky I get 12000 free a month :)

but theres no way you can send 234,342 texts in a month o_O I think the world record is below is only like 15,000 or something!

Its obviously a mistake by O2.
 
Yep me to. I send on average 1 text a week, and I just got one saying I had sent 3192!

Thank god they aren't charging us for their mistake.

Carpal tunnel syndrome would set in before you completed the last text surely? :eek::D

(yes I know it's an error on o2's part)
 
Check your data usage too.. It could include that. So data (in kb) plus your texts. That should be why.

You don't find anything disturbing with texting someone every minute? I don't care how in love you are, thats just not normal.

LOL heavy texter????

I think this will qualify a a compulsive texter.

Somehow i find that hard to believe, that would be 1 text every 11 sec, if you text 24 hours a days for 30 days.

If you sleep 6 hours every day, you will have to text once every half a second for 30 days to reach that.

Something doesn't add up

Or maybe it is too early and my coffe hasn't kick in yet and my math is all off:confused:

Trust me, you'll look back some day and realize that it's as ridiculous as everyone here is saying it is. Many of the forum members here (myself included) are quite in love with our spouses and we manage to get by without texting them 600 times a day. I think if I exchanged 600 texts with my wife every day, neither of us would get anything done and we'd both go a little mad.
 
When I had a regular phone I would send/receive a little over 8000 a month. Now over the past two years with an iPhone I send about 15000-18000 a month depending. They really just add up quickly.

I don't talk on the phone though, so I guess it kind of evens out. I use maybe 75-100 minutes a month.
