Hi guys,

Has anyone had their third email from o2 yet? Sorry if this has been mentioned in other threads, but they're getting very long now :)

Just had my third email from O2.

Dear xx xxxxx xxxxx,

Re: Order Number xx-xxxxxxxxx

This email contains important information about your order.

** New Orders **

Your order is still being processed and, if accepted, should be despatched to you within the next 5 days. Any iPhone 3G orders will be delivered on or after 11th July.

We'll email or send you an SMS to confirm when your order has been accepted and despatched so that you'll know when to expect your delivery. You will need to sign for the delivery, but don't worry if you're not in, the courier will leave you details to rearrange delivery.

If you selected a chargeable delivery option a refund will be applied automatically to your credit/debit card within the next 10 days.

The easiest way to track your order is by visiting www.o2.co.uk/trackyourorder

** Repair/ Replacement Orders **

If you've had your handset for more than 28 days and have arranged a repair replacement with our Returns Helpline, we would kindly remind you that the replacement will be despatched from our distribution centre on receipt of your faulty handset.

You will shortly be sent an O2 Returns Notification email with your Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) and the address to send back the faulty handset. Please make sure you clearly quote the RAN on the outer packaging.

On receipt of your faulty handset at this address we'll get your replacement handset sent to you immediately.

To avoid any complications caused by phones going missing in transit, we do recommend that you use either the Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery options provided by Royal Mail.

If you've already returned your faulty handset, there's no need to take any further action. Your repair replacement will be despatched on receipt of your faulty handset.

Thank you for choosing O2.

Regards,

O2

Still waiting for mine

But the bl**dy thing still does not say for sure the phone will be shipped at all never mind to arrive on Friday!

I'm beginning to wish I'd not bothered and gone to the store on Friday!!!

...so it seems like even the 3rd email doesn't provide any certainty that an order is successful

Ah well...roll on email number 4!

got my 3rd email - same wording as posted here.

I don't think we will hear from o2 again until the one they send the day before delivery - which I really hope will be on the 11th!

I also have my third email.
I'm pretty sure we have got one though, considering you could not longer choose 16Gb models at one point (not sure about now) that suggests they must have bene counting orders etc, so if your's went through before then then you must have one, right?
I'm not worried. Only the "Any iPhone 3G orders will be delivered on or after 11th July" is a little concerning, but not overly.

I STILL haven't received email number one!

i tried to upgrade twice and thought i failed - some error message and no order ref

i bought as a new customer and got an order number

checked with my bank, 3 transactions pending authorisation at o2's end

no emails - just 'in progress' on the tracking page...

I reckon it is. They've taken the money out of my account (twice!) which, I presume, must mean I've passed some kind of credit check and the phone has been reserved. But who knows - we won't know any more until Thursday night!

third email and confirmation delivery

hi guys,

Third email arrived and confirms delivery for on or after 11th. I live in Northern Ireland and I wonder will this mean the order will take longer to reach me because its not the mainland?

It would be nice to think that DHL is prepared for this amount of traffic. I really hope it arrives on Friday. Saves visiting the store and waiting with the crowds.

what does everyones else believe or know about the delivery promise?

I just got 2 e-mails in quick succession. Phoned O2, and was told I would receive the third my later today or tomorrow, to confirm whether or not the order has actually gone through. Now i'm worried that if it is confirmed, and I am told it will arrive on or after friday, that it won't arrive on friday. Thats not good. I could just wake up early and get to a store. Monday didn't help anything really. I just need to wait and see if/when i get a third e-mail now. How annoying.
