I bought a 3GS just short of 12 months ago on Pay & Go to use with my contract SIM. I've never opened the SIM card that came with it, which I understand has unlimited data and wi-fi.

Does it have limited validity before you have to use the SIM? Have I left it too late to sell it? Can't find anything on the O2 site.

I think you will find the 12 months counts down from date of purchase. At least that is what happened to me. I purchased an iPhone and used an existing sim for a time, a few months later I switched the sim back, but the months since I purchased the sim had expired, so I think you will find that it is worthless.

There is a sticker on the back of the simcard that states the phone number and the 'must be activated by' date it's usually 18 ish months.
