O2 roaming network down 12Hours +

Since about 1900 BST Thursday the O2 network has been broken.

I'm currently roaming in Germany and I'm not able to get any phone service. I've phoned O2 this morning only to be told yes they know of the issue but have no idea when it will be fixed!

Apparently anyone roaming with their O2 mobile phone will not be able to get service atm.

Yep same here, hope it gets sorted soon.

Once it's fixed on O2's end, any idea if we need to restart the phone or take the SIM out and put it back in etc? Or should it just start working out of the blue later today?

I'm not sure... but 'd guess you should be able to either reboot the phone or just switch "airPlane" mode on and then off.

same here

Same here in Dortmund, NRW. No network since about 2200 WEST last night.. Grrrr really couldn't have come at a worse time!
 
It's almost back up... I can connect to t-Mobile now, however not via 3G and no data roaming..

btw... you should file a complaint with OfComm it's about the only way O2 will take any notice of us.

I didnt turn data on (I was only on the ground for 40mins. Just sent and received txts and made a quick call while I was there. Back in the UK now so cant test data :p

Lucky you... I'm stuck at the airport in Cologne waiting for a delayed EasyJet flight!! .. I hate EasyJet!

Thanks for the info about my flight. Ok i take a little of it back :). We just need to be kept informed.

Anyway back to the first complaint. Still can't roam on o2. I can some times make voice calls but still no data :(

oh well I guess I'll be back to UK soon enough now
