o2 stores september 5th announcement?

rumor has it that o2 stores in London are getting new signs for the 5th of september any ideas?

no chance its for a new iPhone, Apple's media event hasn't been announced yet and invites for that go out a coupla weeks in advance or so.

Invites go out 1 week before events, also September 5th is a US holiday. Invites will probably go out next Wednesday perhaps.

they're probably just dropping the price as the new one is not too far away now, they've done it with previous versions before.

I know this won't happen, but imagine the shock if that happened. Just a stream of people all leaving the keynote to get to the nearest Apple store. It would be comical.
