thx for posting. Actually I think that would be a +. Allowing Vodafone, Orange etc to jump in is a good thing.
 
But even if Vodafone or Orange or T-Mobile should get the iPhone, I doubt if it will be possible to move your existing iPhone to another network as that would require Apple to agree to providing an unlock capability such as ultrasn0w which seems unlikely. The unlocked iPhones sold in continental Europe, for example, are delivered unlocked which is a quite different proposition from unlocking an existing locked phone.

So good for new customers to have a bit of competition, but the rest of us will just have to stick with ultrasn0w!
