iF your within your 14 days of purchase then it's free.. but you'll have to return the iphone for a full refund.

After 14 days.. full cost of the contract.. ie 12*monthlyBill.

wait till PAYG comes and maybe they will let you switch for an amount..
But why are you canceling iPhone contract? cause you dont like iPhone3g or you would rather get an unlocked iPhone?

because the contracrt data plans are so terrible for the iphone 3g.

if i was on o2 payg i would have a much better deal. for example

atm i top up £15 on o2 Unlimited and i get unlimited text to o2 for the month and unlimited calls to o2 for a month. everyone i know is on o2. ALSO i still have the remaining balance of £15 to spend on what ever i like, so i add a unlimited wifi and data bolton for £10 a month. this then leaves me with £5 credit for what ever i want.

So for one month i get:

Unlimited calls to o2 phones
Unlimited Text to o2 phones
Unlimited Wifi and Data
£5 balance left over for whatever

(on simplicity the £10 bolt on would be ontop of the minimum £15 contract making it £25, unlike pay&go where you would even have £5 left!!!)

All included in the £15 topup every month.

Beats any simplicity plan or contract for the iPhone, unless you mainly call and text other providers.

What you think?

I personally am very happy that o2 never raised the data prices as at&t did for 3G, have a look at some of the other countries plans, it really isnt that bad, and the bt/cloud wifi is good to, especially with their expansion plans.

But you must have known all that before you bought the phone/contract? No? Are you trying to get a phone on the cheap to JB/unlock and use your PAYG sim/other carrier sim??

You would also loose visual voicemail (only available to pay montly customers). and the data bundle is only for the 2g service ie gprs. ask o2. you may aswell give the 3g handset back and by a 2g handset off ebay.....

You would also loose you status as an iphone customer and there fore not be eligable for iphone support
