Hmm, not sure if this is necessarily true as my phone is edge compatible and i live in a high region but I only get GPRS so I am thinking that it may be 3g.

Coverage is ok here in the Black Country, but venture into Staffordshire, Shropshire or Worcestershire and it's not good.

how do you know you're getting EDGE on your iphone? is it the E? does the E change to anything else when you're getting GPRS?

Anyone using the new O2 £7.50 data bolt-on with a PAYG sim and using an iPhone?
If so what settings are you entering for Apn, Username and password?
I was told apn = payandgo.o2.uk.co, Username = payandgo and password = password. Sadly it does not work and O2 cannot help either.
