Sorry title should read o2 users, on target to beat 200MB limit? bit of a problem not watching what my iphone keyboard is producing! :)

I know limit is gone, but how many of you would have gone over the limit? After a week I have uploaded 8MB and downloaded 43, so looks like I would have just gone over. Mostly I have browsed at home over wifi since I don't get a strong or even reliable GPRS signal let alone edge. Maybe that's why o2 scrapped the limit because they knew it would be difficult to achieve?

Wifi doesn't count towards the limit, so your total is likely to be much lower than that - check on the O2 site they probably have a page to tell you the real total.

Wow... I average about 80mb a month and I thought I was a heavy user.

I used to download more off the N95 to be honest (although that was because it didn't automatically switch to wifi like the iphone does and I couldn't be arsed switching it manually).

How the heck do you download 50mb in 24 hours on a phone? What is there to download?

my K800 sent 209617338B and recieved 1353176817B over the last couple of months, but that was over 3G.

I watched maybe 10 you tube videos so that will have been a chunk of it. Also it will have been seeding the email inbox for the first time, so that will have been chunky.

hmmm i've sent 4.1 mb and received 89.7 mb on the edge network data so going to go over the 200mb figure, well that is if i keep showing it off to people sure it will go down in month 2!!!:D:D:D:D

hang on im not understanding

the 200 MB limit has been scrapped???

cos i was in O2 today asking about my plan and the wifey said the limit was 200 MB then i was charged for anything above that

SORRY IF I SOUND DUMB but im just home and not been on-line for long haha

Sent 9.9mb and Recived 50.8mb in a week using GPRS.
GPRS is actually alot faster than it was on my old phone, so it is surprisingly pleasant to use. Can't wait till EDGE is available in my area!
I would have most likely gone over the limit, so I'm glad its been scrapped :p

Direct from the O2 website....

Data and Wi-Fi fair usage policy
Your O2 tariff for iPhone allows you unlimited use of O2 UK's Edge/GPRS networks and The Cloud's UK Wireless LAN network, for personal internet use, email and Visual Voicemail (VVM) on your iPhone only. All usage must be for your private, personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not use your SIM Card in any other device, or use your SIM Card or iPhone to allow the continuous streaming of any audio/video content, enable P2P or file sharing or use them in such a way that adversely impacts the service to other O2 customers. If O2 reasonably suspect you are not acting in accordance with this policy O2 reserves the right to impose further charges or disconnect your tariff at any time, having attempted to contact you first.

Not a chance of me going over the limit, 3mb received over edge in a week! I wish I could halve my data allowance and double the sms allowance.

i read that on O2's website last night aswell

so the 200 MB limit HAS been scrapped !!! or are they just considering it?

How clear does O2 have to be?

the only place i get edge is at home, where there's wifi. In town and in work theres no edge, which sucks. I often find edge is faster than my home network sometimes though, by the time the connection is shared with everyone in the house theres not a lot left for my poor iPhone.
