I have Oblivion GOTY on my iMac, and its been lagging a lot. I can't figure out what could be making this happen. I have 4GB of RAM and 950GB free at the moment. I messed around with the graphics, increasing/decreasing them and it doesn't seem to change anything :( . I really want to get this working, please help me if you can!

PS - I closed all other programs before playing too.

Nope.

Thanks for responding, and no I'm playing it on my iMac. Not using bootcamp or windows or anything like that, just snow leopard.

Oblivion was never ported to the Mac. Are you using an unofficial cider port? I suggest you just play the real thing in bootcamp.

If you are familiar with it you can change the cider engine being used, or try running it with the latest version of wine. If there are no performance changes (don't expect much), then just install windows with bootcamp and play oblivion there.

Short answer: it's not worth it, you'll never get excellent performance from a Ciderized game.

You really should just play it via Windows.

I reset the graphic settings to default, and then changed the screen size to fit my iMac. Now its working, it must of been a glitch or something.

Thanks for everyones help!
