i wonder what they would do for a warranty replacement.. once the ipad 3 stock is gone? since they aren't selling it anymore?
You'd get a referb as replacement if the problem was severe enough. Only once all iPad 3 warrantees are expired (including AppleCare extensions) will Apple allow iPad 3 stock to become completely exhausted.
i need a 4th gen ipad...
Im really happy with my iPad 3, i was just joking about it being obsolete. Only wish id brought with it 3g. This might be the only reason i *might* consider selling my iPad 3 and buying a 4th gen with 4G. But no rush.
I still got to buy iPhone 5 as my iPhone 4 home button hardly responds - another reason to upgrade.
iPad 3 definitely looks like crap today. I would be embarrassed to own one when the new iPad 4 starts shipping. So I do sympathise with those who recently purchased iPad 3. You're going to look almost as uncool as iPad 2 and iPad 1 owners soon.

I'm sure there's people out there who will NEED the fourth gen iPad even though they have the third gen.

How would anyone even know you're using a 3rd-gen over a 4th-gen? They're the same weight and everything. Only difference is the connector on the bottom and a faster processor.
