I have the 2nd Gen AirPods, and I have a quirky thing happen every once in a while. There will be this momentary strange distortion type of sound. I honestly don’t know how to describe it, because as soon as I notice it, it’s gone (like half a second). But it’s quite odd and jarring. It almost seems like it’s starting to shudder/disconnect, but the signal doesn’t quite disconnect. It’s also rare which makes it difficult to troubleshoot. It’s happened maybe a dozen times in the 3 weeks I’ve owned them (listening to on average 1.5 hours a day). Has anybody else experienced a similar kind of sound/connection issue?

Edit: I just decided to experiment with my AirPods by walking away from my iphone until it disconnects, and I think the AirPods disconnecting studder/sound is in fact what I have heard (or very similar) except that it happens even when my iphone is in my pocket or within 5-10 feet of me in the room.

I think I'm experiencing a similar issue. I don't think this happened with previous gen that I had.

It usually only happen within the first few minutes.
