It needs to be half the size of the folder icon's width. This seems to have changed since the first 8c134 GM build (Beta 3 had the sizes correct).

I don't like the way they have made that red wobbly line go around it. !!

I kind of like that arrow. I was like, finally, you can tell it's an arrow, on the touch, it looked like the line was just uneven.

Lol, I have OCD and the arrow really doesn't get to me that much...

That being said, I just used a Sharpie like yayitsezekiel recommended. Blue, to fit my background. The only downside is that I cannot move that folder anywhere but the 3rd column, 2nd row :(

Well, maybe Apple plans to fix it, since they say "TOO BIG!" right next to the arrow.

They'll probably fix the red line in iOS 4.2.1.1.3. Nothing to worry about.

No; I have inside information that Apple will remove the line in 4.2.1.1.3.1.1.1 and then make the arrow bigger in 4.2.1.1.3.1.1.2 then make it even smaller in 4.2.1.1.3.1.3.

What do you expect? Apple grabbed the iPhone style folders and dumped them on the iPad - they didn't even think of making a photos' stack type of folder, or using more of the screen real estate with multitasking.

Yes, it is strange isn't it.

I've yet to understand why this is happening this way.

It's like they say down to design the UI to be easy to use on a 3" screen, and got it great.

Then with the iPad just copy it over, forgetting the screen is giant in comparison with more pixels.

It very odd (given the time they have had) that they have not used what they have in a more creative way)

I could say the same about the terrible waste of a lock screen that's just a giant empty space of the chunky icon desktop.

It's almost like they did not really expect it to sell well, so didn't want to spend any time on it.

I can only hope when Mk2 comes next year they will of had time to redesign it into something it deserves to be.

Hey, well I think SJ did say 4.2 was gonna be big. (Personally I didn't even pay much attention to the arrow until you mentioned it).

My friend, (if you count a person on the internet that I know through MSN as a friend) is creating an app, that will replace the current multitasking bar, to an expose style multitasking; it's in early design stages, but I cannot wait for him to finish it. Obviously it will be only for 4.2 which has been jailbroken.

I did not notice a difference at all. are you sure it is a different size than 4.2gm or Gmb?

I'm running the first build of the gm on my iPad (haven't had time to update), and the folder arrow is the same size.
