OCR Program for OSX

I wonder if someone can tell me of a good OCR program ? I want it for if I scan a word document because there are only two formats available in my scan that of pictures and .jpg. If anyone can help I'll be grateful because I don't particularly want to convert to PDF.

My Fujitsu Scansnap came with FineReader which will scan to PDF, Word, and Excel. I only use PDF and it does a fairly good job making searchable PDFs.

It's called Microsoft OneNote.

Vuescan. A great program that gets frequent updates and supports a lot of scanners.
