I've had this problem before and have had to resort to using Little Snitch to block the Ocspd process. However, a couple of days ago I had to do a fresh install of the OS. Everything went well with that, but Little Snitch informed me after the fresh install, that I would have to download a new improved Little Snitch. This I did, and I activated it. I wrongly assumed that it would keep its old settings. It didn't, and unfortunately the Ocsp process had its way with my system, as it consumed over 100 Gig of data in a 24 hour period. I have since set up Little Snitch to prevent the Ocspd process completely. Now I just have to ask; what is this Ocspd process actually downloading/uploading? And how is it possible that it is able to consume 100 Gig in a 24 hour period?
