October 2013 Event - Questions, questions

I know there's a lot of speculation going round that there will be an October event if not an actual event on October 15th which is this day next week.

But how do we really know this is happening on Oct 15 or October at all?

And if the event is really on next week. then when would Apple officially announce it and send invites?

Also, do you think the event will *JUST* be iPad related or do you think the event will encompass iPad, Mavericks, MacPro (and possibly new displays)?

Its a rumor, that's all. There is no information or evidence that there will be a media event. In fact Apple usually gives a 2 week notice of any sort of media event which means the 15th is out of the question using that logic.
