Apple's "Scary Fast" virtual media event kicks off at 5:00 pm Pacific Time today, an unusual time for an Apple event that will see it occurring in the middle of the night for some users not traditionally accustomed to that timing.

We know that some MacRumors readers who can't follow the event as it's being broadcast are interested in avoiding all of the announcements and waiting until the event video is available for on-demand viewing so as to experience it without already knowing the outcome.

For those individuals, we've posted this news story, which will be updated with a direct link to the presentation once it becomes available from Apple. No other news stories or announcements will be displayed alongside this story.

Apple's recent virtual events have been made available to view almost immediately following the conclusion of the broadcasts, and we expect similar timing for today's event.

Users waiting for the video to be posted are welcome to gather in the thread associated with this news story, and we ask that those who follow the events as they occur refrain from making any posts about Apple's announcements in this thread.

Update: The full video is available on Apple's website as a direct link to the video file with no spoilers.

I’m interested but not buying 😆

I’d never be likely to leave my games consoles to game on the Mac. Maybe an Apple TV for light gaming with better titles…

Anyone coming here after the event, I made a bingo so you could have fun, and enjoy!

YES; but don't we need 5 version... haha (or we all get bingo at the same time)
One.

More.

Thing.
Absolutely needed!
Spoiler: Dumbledore dies!
Wait, NOooooooo!!! Not that... And I WAS HOPPING FOR AN APPLE BROOM STICK!
Wake me up when they announce the new Mac mini. 😁

I know many customers want to escape from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. They would love gaming experiences on Apple's industry leading SoC without Nvidia and AMD extortionate pricing.

Some might; but you have to admit all those companies have 20 plus years of gaming history and know how.

Nintendo for example can bring out games for a system that was technically under powered on release and still create blockbuster titles.

I think Apple will have a mountain to climb on this one. They are relying on ports of games that have been out for years. Apple Arcade is pretty terrible.

The thing is Apple have the basis of a games console in their Apple TV division. They haven’t done anything with it for the best part of 7 or more years

Who is the target audience for the 14 foot and 16 foot MBP?
I think this is for ultra power users... big ass laptops packing ass to ass processor dies stacked with M2 and M1 surplus chips. Comes with a free Apple Fan... not a human.. just a fan that will blow cool air across that stacked processor sandwich.

Comes with a free roof rack or trailer for mobile computing capability.

Pacific time?! Doh! I rushed home to watch the event Live at 5pm only to realize that it's not until 8pm cause I live in NY 😂

Hosting the event at night is clearly for Asian market. The event begins at 8 am in China, people can watch it during the commute.
