Little Big Planet, Bioshock and Far Cry 2 all released on the same day. What are they thinking?

I probably won't buy all three at the same time, but I have no idea where to start.

Haha, ya. I'll be buying Far Cry and LBP on that day. Won't be too much fun at the store (but when I get home.... :D).

You shouldn't have any money for these other games, not when Dead Space Deluxe-uber-take-our-money-edition is coming out this month.

Dead Space is on my radar, but I will carefully wait for the reviews first. I'm a little scared that it might fall into the mediocrity trap...but we shall see!

I'd be tempted for Far Cry 2 but it probably won't run so well on my iMac.

is Bioshock budget priced? crap, the 360 version is like $15 at EB used so if you pay $60 for it, you are getting hosed. I would leave it for last anyway, it's a play it once then don't play again. The actual mechanics of the game are average but the story/atmosphere are really great, however that doesn't help replay value too much.

I might not be able to get Little Big Planet on launch. I must save my money...

But don't you want the I was there week one DLC t-shirt and space suit?!!

Yeah... I know about that stuff. I would love to have it, but its not really important. I'm sure there will be more to follow after launch.

I don't know... it could ;).

What's this super expensive edition?

Haha, ya. It really isn't that great but I have been looking forward to LBP for a long time, and when the beta gets taken away..... that will be a long 10 days..

You should know that BioShock has already fell into that mediocre trap. :D :p Focus groups pushed it in there... :(

But if you've "never" played a Shock, BS is fun like a Disney ride. :(

I read Gamasutra's Dead Space interview and it helped to squelch my fears about this game. They actually understand that being scared is derived by something feeling real, something BioShock failed on miserably.

They also took a step in the right direction with the inventory/menu system, where as BS threw the inventory window out the window, in favor of making the game more accessible for the masses.

Those procs are SOOOOO slow when compared to the Intel Core series, which are very inexpensive now days. :)

This is the super expensive edition, I heard it includes a Space Shuttle.

Nope! CPU is fine but 12gb free space? I've only given XP 32gb :D and my 60gb external drive is full after Valve hosted them Source mods.
Also X1600. Planning on getting a maxed out 24" iMac so all games after TF2 are on the to-buy list.

Hah! Me too. I gave XP 30gb. Got Battlefield Heroes, Counter Strike, and TF2.

LBP is one of the most hyped games of the year, which includes GTA4 and MGS4. FC2 and old ass Bioshock are going to get crushed, they should have gone with a week earlier.

Well ya... I don't think Bioshock will do too great. Far Cry 2 should do well. But LBP... considering how hard it was to get a beta key.... that should sell like crap .

So because sites run out of 2000 beta keys in a couple minutes it means the game is going to sell like crap? Huh?
