October 5th?

I ordered my iPhone on Sunday and Verizon says it's going to be delivered on the 5th. Am I really going to have to wait 3 weeks to get it? What was the point of even pre ordering it if I could just go to the store?! :mad:
 
I feel this way, too. I hope the 5th is a lie -- mostly some conservative guess and I get my phone sooner.
 
I placed an order for two phones a little over an hour after pre-orders started. Apple site said Oct. 5th for both phones, yesterday afternoon, I received shipment tracking numbers for both phones. They will arrive Sept. 27th.
 
Sadly I had to wait until Sunday night to order so I'm assuming i'll get mine in early October but I'm trying to keep my hopes up.

I set my alarm for 2:50. Woke up, checked the web for a few minutes, then placed my order by 3:10 and went back to sleep after a little more surfing. While inconvenient, I didn't see it as a big deal really.

The good news for you is orders appears to be shipping earlier than expected, so you could have it this week.

I'm almost 100% positive i'll see some change in the status by Wednesday, hopefully i'll get it Friday :D
