So it's been a little over a month and I'm evaluating my position on my new Mac Pro.

As a former Quicksilver owner with two PowerBooks succeeding that, I have to say I'm quite pleased to get back to a proper desktop system.

Since I'm out of school, with no real need for computing portability, it's been a damn pleasure to work with this beast.

I picked up Final Cut Studio and just finished my first project yesterday. Importing was a snap. Cutting was simple. Effects were beautiful looking and easy to create. Mixing sounded gorgeous. And for the first time, I was able to grade my project (had no idea what I was doing, but wow was it fun.)

I'm so in love with this bad boy. I think my girlfriend is jealous.

Oh - and I picked it up tax free in Delaware! Good news all around.

Were all cores maxed during render/encode?
