Odd Adium contact issue

Someone added me as I'm using Adium (MSN), but after I clicked on ''Authorised'' to accept the invitation, the contact no longer exists in my contact list.

I signed in on MSN using Windows and still no avail.

How did the contact manage to vanish? Is it hiding somewhere or have I gone potty?

i have that as well. you have to add them back to get them on your contact list.

Really? Too bad. I can't even remember the first letter of the email (one of those random invitations). I presumed it would have automatically added it to my contact list.

So now, when someome adds me, I've got to copy and paste their email and re-add them, right?

when someone adds you, check the Add to Contact List box. Then it should come up with the window for adding a contact.

I'll remember that next time. Out of curiosity, because I clicked on authorised, I believe they can see you online, but you can't see them unless you add them. Am I right?
