We bought an Airport Extreme today mostly to try to ramp up our sketchy iPhone WiFi. It's a 'tad' better than our old router.

We bought an Airport Express to act as a booster in another section of the house. Amazingly my iMac lost bars for the first time ever and the iPhones were worse. Clearly Wifi is better with Extreme than Extreme + Express. The Express made the Extreme turn into a crappy acting router.

Was wondering if anyone has experienced this. It should be the other way around IMO. Maybe because the Express is G and the Extreme is N? My iMac is N. iPhones G, another laptop G. I thought we set it up right but perhaps not. If anyone experienced the above and found a fix, I'm all ears. TIA

EDIT: Wonderful AppleCare helped us out. Had to be on WPN or something.
