Correct me if I am wrong, I find it odd to have iDVD installed by factory on my 2.16ghz MB since it doesn't have a DVD burner.
iLife, is it an app. or is it another name for all the different apps., itunes, idvd, imovie, etc.? Should I see an iLife in my Dock? Cause I don't. itunes, imovie, idvd all has its own shortcut.

iDVD comes as part of the iLife bundle. iLife is installed for free on all new Mac systems.

You can still use iDVD if you bought an external burner or if you saved an iDVD project and burned it on a Mac with a super drive.

Also, your dock is just a set of shortcuts to programs. You can add or remove programs from the dock by dragging them in or out of it. If you want iDVD on the dock, just drag it from the applications folder to the dock.

Have fun with your new Mac.
