I recently upgraded my Verizon iPhone from 4.2.6 to 4.2.8... It was jailbroken on 4.2.6, but I haven't gotten around to jailbreaking it on 4.2.8. Before the update I used TetherMe to use the native personal hotspot with my unlimited data plan. After the update, it seems that I still have this capability even though the phone is no longer jailbroken. Has this happened to anyone else??

I know that it is integrated, but before the jailbreak the feature was disabled since I do not have a tethering plan with verizon. Now I am unjailbroken and can still tether for free.

Yes, this is a side effect of TetherMe. It's somewhat permanent. It may remain after a restore, but once you enable it it disappears right away, disabling the feature.
