Odd display issue

I have my MBA 13 Ultimate hooked up to a Gateway XHD3000 30" monitor, via the Apple Dual Link DVI cable.

After about an hour and a half of gaming (with the fans on the MBA running).. the display on the monitor went "fuzzy".. a lot of noise. The MBA display was fine; turned out that unplugging the mini display port and plugging it back in cleared it up.

Anyone seen this before?
