I have a MacBook Air Aluminum (Mac OS X 10.5.2)
Most of the time, my DVD player works without a glitch. But for some reason, on certain DVDs (e.g. anything Doctor Who- Other BBC discs are fine, though, and plenty of other random ones), it plays the introductory messages/any trailers, but where it would normally go to the menu screen, it just stops. As though there's no DVD at all. If I keep hitting play, it complains about an 'Unexpected Error' and quits.
I live on a farm in rural Australia and this problem is getting really frustrating. Internet downloads are too expensive to play with unless I definitely know what I need, and in 40 degrees Celsius heat, there's a couple of DVDs that I really want to sit indoors and watch, which took 2 months to get shipped here.
Any advice would be great, as I'm really not sure what I can do to fix the problem.
