I have an early 2011 15" MacBook Pro, and it's been working great up to this point. However, the left fan (facing me) has been making a very odd noise. It's the sound of a fan that is brushing against something, or vibrating against something else. The sound isn't any louder than the normal fan noise at idle. I know it's still in warranty but is there anything else I can do?

Apart from either: using the provided 1yr warranty and get it fixed for free, or replace the fan yourself for roughly $50.

No, you can't do anything.
