Hi all, first post (really, first time I've needed to after 2 years of trouble free bliss)
I am having an issue with OS X. Basically, if I launch expose (with only 3 windows open) or try and drag a file into a folder on the dock I notice that the animations are glitchy and jutted like the frame rate has dropped to low. I notice no graphical issues using applications including Photoshop, Keynote or playing Portal which are graphically intensive themselves. This is why I believe it to be a problem with OS X itself. This when mild is irritating but can get to the point where expose will take a very long to even launch or worse refuses to stay open (it runs the animation with all windows reducing in size and being made visible but instantaneously reverts back before I can select the window I want). As this is my main method of switching windows it is driving me nuts.
I have tried the usual including Disk Permissions, checking the console for errors, running Onyx etc and none of that seems to have made any difference.
Also my computer is not taxed at all when this is happening. Having checked the activity monitor the CPU is barley being used and of my 4GB of ram there is still over 2 free. Also, my graphics card is set to high performance and my computer is fully up to date (although I .
I am totally stuck for ideas other than a fresh install but that frustrates me as I would like to know what is doing this. If anyone else is experiencing these issues and has a remedy give me a shout.
James.
