When I wake my mid 2010 (latest) 15" Macbook Pro (i7) There occasionally appear random dots on the background. These are sometimes vaguely arranged in a grid, sometimes one or two, sometimes 10 or more. These are on the image and are software. If you put a pointer or window over them, they disappear. If you use the "digital color meter" they are there, and show up on the magnifier, so they are not a hardware problem with the panel.

I enclose a screen shot showing them.

Could it be a video card problem? I've got applecare, and the computer otherwise works fine, but I would like at some point to solve this..

anyone any ideas?

cheers

John
