I have a very strange looking green icon in my menu bar. Right and left clicking has NO effect on it whatsoever. I can't get rid of it. I installed a virus checker and it hasn't found anything. It looks sinister. Can anyone help? Also, if you don't know what it is, can you tell me how to get rid of it at least? I attach a zoomed photo. Looks like a Parakeet to me with a + sign in the middle.

It's an icon to an app you have installed. When you click or right click on it, what comes up?

Did you look at the activity monitor to see any unfamiliar process running? Try killing the process one by one and see if that icon disappears.

Look in Apple () menu > System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items. Good chance it's something listed there.
