Hi, anyone recognize the icon to the left in my menubar? I don't know what it is.

Did you try opening "Preference"? Maybe that'll give more clues. Other thing you could do is open Activity monitor and take a screenshot of running processes, then "Quit" this app and see what disappears from Activity Monitor by comparing to the screenshot.
 
Open up "Activity Monitor" and goto the "Energy" tab - it does the best job of weeding out all of the background tasks OS X usually runs. Post a screen cap of that using the app "Grab" built-in to OS X.

From there we can try and narrow down exactly what app this is. My guess though is that this is a remote access server of some sort (probably VNC).
