Odd Lion bug - applications jump

Since installing Lion on my iMac I find that when typing in the url bar in my browser or in Outlook the focus will suddenly swap to another open application. I cannot spot any pattern other than it regularly happens. Has anyone else observed this and any ideas on possible solutions?
