I just finished setting up a new M2 MBA 13.6" and it works great. There's an odd thing that happens when I log in, after entering the PW, a loading bar below the PW field shows up, the screen colors over-saturate and then go back to normal and then log me in.

What is causing that? I don't have any screen calibration set up.

two questions:
Are you staying with Ventura, or have you updated to the beta for Sonoma? Beta may still have some issues, maybe that is causing your video issues.
Are you using FileVault? That would mean that you log in to the drive first, before logging in to your user.
Again, could be some issue with beta, if you are using Somona.

I'm on the most current release of Ventura. I do have encryption enabled but I don't have to enter in PW at POST.

You're seeing this about a fresh boot only, right? That's normal. After a boot, firmware displays the login screen, accepts your password, and decrypts the drive. Then the machine fully boots and logs you in.

Yes, only on a fresh boot. OK, that's what I thought was happening - it's strange that the color change happens though.

Thanks for the confirmation.
