Does anyone else get odd isolated low HR reading in their Heath App? My averages are good. For example; I can get an isolated low number then a normal reading either side of the low reading as per the screen shots.

The Highlighted readings today where while I was waiting for my train whilst standing on a cold platform and then the 44 was ten minutes into my train journey home as I was reading my book. There were a couple of other lower readings but higher than the 44 again, the 44 was when I was already on the train and the reading of 50 was me standing on the cold platform. No symptoms at all and this isn’t a medical request.

I don’t get the isolated low readings everyday, just occasionally and I have slightly hairy arms. I had the same happen with my S4 in terms of random readings but my cardiologist did a 7 day holter which didn’t show any low readings. I have the low/high alerts enabled but I am yet to receive one.

I am interested to know whether most people see these type of isolated readings. I was using my friends iPhone over the weekend and asked whether I could see her Apple Heath data and she had random isolated readings of 40bpm again with normal/higher readings either side.

I am not an athlete, I’m ever so slightly overweight but have a fab diet and don’t smoke. I wouldn’t expect a HR in the 40’s and my average indicates a more normal reading if 67.

Please take a look at your health data and confirm. Most YouTube bloggers demoing the Heath app tend to have low readings (40’s) in their Apple Heath dashboards.

Some people are just built that way. I have an average 40bpm heart rate and I smoked for 25 years. I run a lot now and it occasionally drops to 36 bpm at rest and sets off the alarm.

If you are concerned then see your doctor and get a proper checkup. I had the full EKG and they said, 'yeah, it's really slow but regular'.

One thing that does often go with low BPM is high blood pressure though so make sure that's checked too.

When I run it revs to 160 or so quite happily and that's fairly nice since I'm over 50 anyway :)

Anyhow DON'T ask for healthcare advice on a forum - go and get professional advice!

Thanks buddy - I’m not asking for medical advice, I would like to know whether others see the same patterns. I had a 24 hour blood pressure check in March along with an ECG - all is fine. Prior to that, a year earlier I had 1 day and 7 day Holter monitors fitted which again didn’t pick up any low heart rates and were both normal - in addition; 18 months prior, I had an Echo too. All outputs showed average HR of 65-75.

I can never feel a slow HR when manually checking nor do I have symptoms but I get these random low HR readings pop up in the reading data so wanted to see whether others get the same random lows but have normal readings any other time.

Like I said above, my friends Health data was showing the same - she had normal readings with the odd day of 40bpm as her minimum. Thus, wondering whether others see this pattern.

Attached are my daily figures lows/highs. You can see that there are the odd days with lows but normally, the rangers are normal. Does anyone else’s data look like this with odd readings?
