Odd O2 logo appeared and then vanished

Yesterday this odd extra O2 icon appeared on my home screen yet today it was gone. I did a screenshot - one with the funny icon and one as it is now (and was before). Does anybody know why it happened?

Edit - Oh wait, I didn't see that O2 above the icons. Strange.

I used to see this every now and again too, its pretty weird but ive not noticed it since the 2.0 update

I got that a few days ago and just rebooted the phone to clear it.
