Hey,

So here's the situation. I have an early 2007 MBP and the warranty ran out a month or two ago.

It has had the following repairs:

2 screen replacements, 2 logic board replacements.

The last screen replacement was in September, and now the screen has failed again (backlight is gone). Since it was repaired recently it is under the 90 day extended warranty.

I'm wondering if anyone has heard of them possible replacing the machine in this situation. I know that the warranty for the entire machine is gone, but some warranty does remain. Would the lemon law clause still be in place?

Since with this screen repair it brings the total to 5 major repairs.

Thanks.

P.S I'm typing this on said machine so sorry for any spelling mistakes, I can barely make anything out.

My guess would be that, unless you can somehow show that it is the machine itself that is causing all these screens to fail (which is fairly possible at this point since the screen has failed twice), they'll probably just want to replace the screen.

But hey, it couldn't hurt to argue and flail your arms a bit and see what happens. :)
