Am I missing something simple here or does this seem odd to anyone else?

I'm searching for a file in Finder. When I select "Preferences", which is the directory I'm in, it finds the file but when I select "This Mac" it doesn't.

I'm going to guess that the reason it's not showing the plist file when you select "This Mac" is because, by default, spotlight doesn't search system files. If you click the plus icon and select system files it SHOULD show up.

That was it thanks. Figured it was something simple.

Sorry for the silly question.
