So I just did an hour long strength workout. As usual, I logged it as Other Strength Training. I have been doing several times a week and I consistently get a result that shows my total calorie burn is about 5.5 calories per minutes with active calories about 4 calories per minutes (non-active about 1.5). This is the result basically regardless of what my heart rate average is during the workout.
Today's workout was typical in terms of what I did. But I received only 3 calories per minutes - 1.5 active calories per minute and 1.5 non-active.
The only unusual thing was that during the workout on a couple of occasions the watch locked the screen for no apparent reason. Also, there seemed to be gaps in the heart rate recording according to the graph I looked at later. Does this explain the odd result?
