My Aluminum Imac (2Ghz 20", running 10.5.5, bought in March) is having issues with its superdrive.

1) Will not burn, recognize, or even admit that I have a blank CD/DVD in drive. I have to reboot the machine & force the disc out (holding down the mouse button)

2) If I insert a DVD, I get a "Disk Insertion" error message, telling me that that type of disc can't be read by the computer. Disc offers me an option to ignore or eject.

3) If I insert a Audio CD, it will mount about 10-20% of the time. When it does, it will start iTunes only sometimes. Not that it matters, because it doesn't appear in iTunes.

4) Tried playing a file on the CD from Quicktime, doesn't work.

5) Only the odd numbered tracks appear in finder! VERY ODD!

6) The drive is listed in System Profiler as:

ATA Bus:

OPUIARC !DWD!RW AD-5731A! ! ! ! ! ! ! !:

Model: OPUIARC !DWD!RW AD-5731A! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Revision: 1AIM! !
Serial Number: ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Detachable Drive: No
Protocol: ATAPI
Unit Number: 0
Socket Type: Internal
Low Power Polling: No

Any Ideas on what to do?!

I live in a town with an apple store and the computer is still under warranty til March 2009.
